There's this issue. There are two issue's. One.. The bosk that decided to stop and take a nap right smack dab in the middle of our trail. And two.. my choice of clothing. Ive been wearing a skirt since the trail started. It was not by a selective choice that I did so... but more so out of necessity. With what little time I had to prepare everything to get moving... I did not make it to the leather workers to request a new pair of leather's. I'd been out in the herds.. picking the teams to pull the wagons when.. something spooked my kaiila. The big Red bolted which.. toppled me from the saddle... the exception being one boot that lodged itself in the stirrup. I knew enough to cross my arms before one or both got broken as I was dragged alongside the beast. Road rash. Ugh. By the time BigRed stopped... my backside was raw.. and well.. exposed. My leather's.. as old and soft as they were.... just tore away. Leaving me with a peek-a-boo situation on the tail end. When I worked my boot free from the stirrup and stood.. checking to make sure nothing was badly damaged... I heard a snicker from behind me. Damn Jax. I spun around and He started laughing harder to which I frowned. Yeah.. I felt the draft. So I covered up my peekie cheekies with my hands until that boskarse of a Man got off His kaiila and offered me His cloak. Funny.. He didnt stop snickering all the way back to the wagons.
Now... here we are.. pre-move. Everything is packed. Nothing is locate-able. But I did manage to find an old skirt. It was mine. I just never found them comfortable. Im more a hands-on girl and need the freedom and less conscious choice of clothing. But it would have to do till I could get me a set of cheek covers. Perhaps the tired bosk was a sign for each of us and it did give me a chance to get to the leather workers and order up a new pair of painted on leather's.
As chance would have it.. I also got to catch up with Tarra and Fonce. I asked to speak to each of them when time allowed. Each agreed. Tarra had to take care of some business so I snagged Fonce to begin my questioning. I had to know about these dreams. I had to know why they were in them. I flat out told Fonce He was in them. How I was always met with this wall that kept me from what seemed to be my final journey of sleep. He said.. I didnt know Him enough to begin to see His walls. uhhhhh huh? Anyone that even knew Him in the slightest knew of at least one or two walls this Man harbored. He gave me little credit in what I had come to learn of Him. I told Him it was hard to get to know someone in the midst of the hubba-ba-lu at the main fires. He said it was a great place to learn of people. Now... on one hand this is true. You can see sides of people you would not normally see when alone. So I had to agree on that note. But I also had to argue that one cannot be candid and upfront on certain issue's among a group as well. Neither of us was wrong in our points... and I certainly took what He said to thought. I asked Him.. what He saw about me. What I was not. He said He didnt know me well enough to say. Uhhhh... huh? I wanted to push Him and ask further but I couldnt. Not yet. We did however agree that neither of us was ready to explore anything further. Aint that the truth. I did however still want to show Him how the slave I made for Him was to be used. Where and how much and the things it did... and how the skin reacted. He would have no part of it. He said He didnt take to a touch very well. Uhhhhh..... dumbfounded look. I almost wanted to tell Him I was sorry. Not for requesting this all in the first place.. but for the obvious things He was missing out on. I didnt. I instead.. asked for His forearm... I mean come on.. how good would a healer be if they didnt tell someone just what they were going to expierence and that this is the norm of what the salve was supposed to do? I let it drop. Fonce told me to keep the jar until I could properly show Him. Yeeeaahhhh... ok. He needed to tend to another pressing appointment and I nodded... heading back into the Nightmare. The jar was placed on a shelf... secured and safe. Set up there in my sights to remind me of a wall this Man built. One I knew of now. I just have to remember to dust it off now and then. Damn it
