Page 353 (6/1/2008) Cold embrace

::: It was early in the morning.. none had risen yet.. She.. had not even slept. Not in a long time. Putting on Her cloak.. She headed to the river.. swollen with heavy rain and tossed the garment aside. Her hair let loose and She stepped into the cool water up to Her knees.. it licked as high as Her collarbone when She crouched down.. covering flesh that was brushed pink with heated desire. At first fingers simply held the bank of grass and dirt for support.. but the movement of the water did not infact ease the burning within Her. It spurred it more furiously. The curl of nails into the earth and Her body was now subject to the whims of the water. Pushing Her against the embankment and She pushing back against the force of rushing water. Lips parted to silent whimpers.. brows creased deep into Her forehead. Water began to splash with the rocking of Her body.. sometimes slapping against the edge of dirt to a small audiable cry. A plea.. a desperate soulful plea. His name.. a lovers whisper at first... grown louder.. till at the apex She screamed it. But none came. Her cheek pressed to the cool muddy bank and She cried.. sobbed so deeply and hard that She could no longer hold Herself up. Desires would not be met.. release would not be granted.. weak and exhausted.. She slipped into the cold embrace under the water.
It was Her Son, Dakota and Jax that would find Her and fish Her from the water. Bringing Her to Kota's wagon. Her Son holding Her tight to His chest. His lips covered Her's and a breath forced into Her lungs.. several times before water was expelled in coughs and gasps. Limp arms snapped up and held to Dakota while She was clutched by a heart wrenching mass of tears. Warmed with blankets and given broth.. food... tea's... but nothing taken. She refused to eat.. drink.. speak. Her eyes a dead stare forward.. even those that tried to tip Her chin to them.. were met with the icy gaze. She did not see them... but instead saw a darkness that was curling it's blackness around them. She did not hear those that called to Her... but She heard laughter and screams. Throughout the day Her children would come and go.. each trying to pull Her back from wherever She had gone. None succeeded. She sat up when guided.. layed down when moved. Jax never left Her side. Though they checked on Her.. while they thought She was resting.. She was really fighting a battle that only a few could see or know. She was fighting the darkness that had slowly woven it's way into Her weakened soul. She was hiding from harm.. She was screaming for help... crying for comfort.....
She was running for Her life. ::::::::::::::
