Pge 115 (5/22/2007) Love and time

The children have been busy lately with their chores and I rarely get to see them so..... I sent each one a special note that asked them to come to our wagon after bath time. I made sure Jerus was there and the older twins had set out some snacks and drinks. With Jerus at my side and the children arriving one by one... we all settled in the wagon around the small brazier and talked for alittle while. I was mostly quiet.. just enjoying the banter of my Mate and children... watching their smiles when their Papa joked with them... watching their frowns when He teased them. But it was Wily that noticed my passiveness to the gathering and He stood up and wandered to me to sit in my lap... the other's all watching Him as He brought that little freckle faced grin up to me and announced that He wanted a story... I was hesitant... till the rest joined in... chanting for a Silken Story. I finally agreed but only if all the kids lay down and listen... for after this... it was bed time. Scooting closer to Jerus with the Wily Bug in my lap... I began my tale for the night...
"Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived: Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all of the others, including Love. One day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all constructed boats and left. Except for Love. Love was the only one who stayed. Love wanted to hold out until the last possible moment. When the island had almost sunk, Love decided to ask for help. Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat. Love said, "Richness, can you take me with you?" Richness answered, "No, I can't. There is a lot of gold and silver in my boat. There is no place here for you." Love decided to ask Vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel. "Vanity, please help me!" "I can't help you, Love. You are all wet and might damage my boat," Vanity answered. Sadness was close by so Love asked, "Sadness, let me go with you." "Oh . . . Love, I am so sad that I need to be by myself!" Happiness passed by Love, too, but she was so happy that she did not even hear when Love called her. Suddenly, there was a voice, "Come, Love, I will take you." It was an elder. So blessed and overjoyed, Love even forgot to ask the elder where they were going. When they arrived at dry land, the elder went her own way. Realizing how much was owed the elder, Love asked Knowledge, another elder, "Who Helped me?" "It was Time," Knowledge answered. "Time?" asked Love. "But why did Time help me?" Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered, "Because only Time is capable of understanding how valuable Love is."

I smiled to the children... the youngest had fallen asleep... the oldest were smiling... and there came a small tug of my hair... I looked down to see Wily ... perplexed. " Something is wrong Wily??" I asked Him... He thought a few moments and finally answered.... " I would have taken Love, Momma. " " I know you would have Son..." I said and I smiled to Jerus which was returned by His.
The kids stayed in our wagon for the night.. Jerus and I took to a ride in the night... I can still feel His arms around me... His kisses to my neck and shoulders....
Love is the greatest gift of all.
